RichRelevance is looking for a talented, ecommerce-savvy data analyst to build out the reporting function. The Customer Analyst Specialist will support the Client Services group and customers in understanding shopper behavior on customer ecommerce sites, the results of AB and MVT tests, and perform analysis to support Business Reviews with our clients. This is a high-paced growth environment that demands fast and accurate turn-around on deliverables. The right candidate will be self-starting and have a curiosity for understanding the evolving relationship between our customers’ business objectives and our complex product offering. The Data Analyst role will require a balance between technical ability and general business acumen.
The Customer Analytics Specialist must be technical yet conscious of business operations and strategy. The candidate will be able to receive mentorship from resident experts, influence product and have a strong presence in driving meaningful impact that is seen by thousands of users. This ideal candidate will thrive in a fast- paced, deadline driven, startup environment. This person should have project management skills, an inquisitive nature and strong (and professional) interpersonal skills.
Distill our technology’s performance down to consumable and familiar key performance indicators and visualizations
Build/utilize tools and processes that will scale the reporting function
Develop new ways to view and describe our business and product lines
Collaborate with the Engineering and Product Management groups to translate analyses into dashboards and product requirements
Collaborate with the Client Services to develop and present KPIs to top-tier ecommerce clients and brand advertisers
Some infrequent travel may be required (< 5%)
You have advanced level proficiency in SQL select operators
You have advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, VBA, etc.)
You are comfortable generating spreadsheets and presentations that can be consumed by audiences at the executive level
You are versed in basic statistical topics (null hypothesis testing, outliers, distributions)
You are familiar with consumer web and the associated metrics
Exposure to business intelligence tools (e.g., Hive, JasperSoft, Crystal Reports, Pentaho, Business Objects) is a plus
1-3 years of professional experience
4-year Bachelor’s degree required, technical/business-oriented degree preferred
