Data Architect – Health Care

Description

The Data Architect participates in all aspects of configuration and deployment of a data warehousing solution. We utilize a comprehensive data warehouse for healthcare systems that contains clinical, financial, and patient experience data integrated into a single analytics platform. The Data Architect will participate in analyzing data, developing visualizations, and interacting with clinical staff to empower meaningful improvements in healthcare. This position will require up to 50% travel within the US.

Education & Relevant Experience
  • BS/BA in information or business-related field or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 3-5 years exper ience in technology or technology related field

Required Skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Interact and communicate with all levels of employees and clients

  • Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively address client needs

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to lead and mentor other team members

  • Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction

Desired Skills
  • General understanding of analytics and statistics

  • Working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools

  • Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Working knowledge of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications

  • Familiarity with development methodologies including the AGILE development approaches

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure expected requirements are met according to organizational standards and principles

  • Perform varied analyses to support organization and client improvement

  • Design and construct data visualizations that meet project requirements and that comply with design standards and principles

  • Manage client projects and provide technical oversight; ensure assigned projects are executed efficiently and according to project requirements and timelines.

  • Perform data validation tests to ensure quality

  • Work with clinicians to improve healthcare

  • Work with client data architects to train and mentor

  • Facilitate and manage improvement activities

  • All other duties as assigned
