Data EngineerSummary: Data Engineer's role is to facilitate effective and efficient utilization of corporate data assets, improve data quality and maintain data integrity. This individual is responsible for ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) processes and tools as well as data management in general throughout all stages of system's lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Participation in development and adherence to corporate data governance policies
Proactive monitoring of data integration processes within data services architecture
Development of new ETL processes
Production support and issue resolution of existing ETL processes
Application of best practices and standards during ETL processes design and deployment
Timely and consistent delivery of high quality solutions that meet design and requirements specifications
Data Analysis, data profiling
Participation in solution architecture
Impact analysis of technology capabilities and limitations
Collaboration with data architects, business analysts and project managers to determine data integration requirements
Continuing technical education and skill improvements
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in database development and ETL
• Hands-on ETL experience in Oracle environment with any industry leading tools, including data analysis, data integration, and database development.
• Good understanding of relational and dimensional data models.
• Experience in Data modeling and Data Quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability efficiently collaborate with various levels of organization
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and associates.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills/Technical Skills:
Experience with current application development platforms, tools and practices relevant to the job. This could include platforms and tools such as: Aspect ACD, C#, .Net, Toad, Genesys, Oracle Tool Sets, Cognos, Astute, Siebel, VXML, XML, Aspect Tool Sets, Crystal Reports, SQL, ETL Tools, Visio, HTML, Project Management Tools, Call Center Tools, IIS, Sharepoint, Windows Server Environment, etc.
