Job Description:
Data Governance Program Lead:
This position is responsible for leading and execution of the Data Governance Program at ISO by working with IT stewards, Business Stewards and management.

Responsibilities include:
Manage, maintain, and promote the Data Governance program
• Continuously improve the Data Governance program by working with IT and key business constituencies to monitor and maintain Data Governance policies and processes
• Communicate and present core Data Governance concepts to various business and groups
• Manage the Data Governance impact assessment workflow, and work with the Data Governance Working Group to identify and remediate any data related issues
• Facilitate Data Governance Working Group meetings, disseminate meeting agendas and minutes
• Maintain the Data Governance dashboard in the BI platform
• Facilitate discussion and resolution of data terminology and semantic issues
Manage metadata consistently across subject areas and data domains
• Identify, document, and engage business owners, business stewards, IT stewards, and key stakeholders who will participate in the Data Governance program
• Maintain the metadata repository
• Resolve discrepancies between business data elements – synonyms, frequently confused terms, formally related terms
• Work with IT architects to maintain data element lineage
Establish and maintain metrics that measure the effectiveness of the Data Governance program
• Maintain the Date Governance Scorecard and update metrics on a monthly basis
• Engage the Data Governance Working Group to develop new metrics that measure the Data Governance program effectiveness
Job Requirements:
• Education
Bachelor’s Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (with Computer Science focus)
• Data Governance and Business Intelligence Experience (3 – 6 years)
Experience in data analysis
Experience in development and deployment of data quality metrics
Experience in metadata management
Business model mapping in Oracle BI/Business Objects/Cognos
• Data/Information Architecture (2 – 3 years)
Experience in designing relational data models in BI/DW environments
• Software Development Experience (2 - 3 years)
Software development experience in large projects.
• Other Traits and Characteristics (4 - 8 years)
Demonstrates the ability to work in a leadership and consulting role across a diverse set of stakeholders and Data Governance program participants
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
