With limited direction, this position is responsible for analyzing complex support issues and uses independent judgment and advanced knowledge to resolve client problems which fall outside commonly experienced support issues. Writes complex PL/SQL queries, scripts and stored procedures to support data integrity issues for large Oracle database applications. Implements complex inbound custom data feeds for clients and third party administrators.
1.Responds to technical issues to provide second tier support for escalated non–repetitive data issues. Analyzes, identifies and resolves data issues by creating complex scripts to resolve data conditions and anomalies in an efficient and effective manner that is in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
2.Creates detailed mapping plans to implement inbound claim file feeds. This includes collaboration with a third party vendor, developing an implementation plan, testing files (QA) and pushing to production.
3.Ability to handle confidential information and interact professionally with internal and external clients, vendors and third party administrators.
4.Ensures that client terminations, migrations and integrations are completed timely and accurately by creating complex scripts. Ability to ensure resolution in the database.
5.Develops, maintains and provides documentation on processes, scripts, stored procedures and packages for future reference or use.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a closely related field is required
Work Experience or Related Experience:
Ability to write complex PL/SQL queries, scripts and stored procedures as described as normally attained through three years of technical experience. Experience with stored procedures in Oracle is required. Experience with Toad is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Oracle 9i, SQL and querying large datasets and system analysis protocols are required
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting with minimal assistance from management is essential. The ability to identify trends in data or process issues, analyze data and report issues is required.
Good organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize work load in an interrupt driven environment while meeting deadlines is essential. Strong work ethic, high initiative, goal-oriented and ability to work independently is required.
The ability to interact and effectively communicate with business units, clients, team members, vendors and other staff is required. Good listening skills and interpersonal skills are required. Good writing and editing skills are necessary to transfer information to others.
A strong customer service orientation is essential and the ability to adapt to change management.
An intermediate level of proficiency with business and communications software (preferably Word and common Windows operating systems including Outlook) is required. Knowledge of Oracle 9i and SQL is required. Knowledge of Toad is preferred.
