Job Purpose

Provides customer service and problem resolution for registered representatives, sales assistants and customers. Assists registered representatives, sales assistants and customers in processing and completing service requests. Answer questions regarding the usage of broker dealer software.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Answers incoming telephone calls/inquiries from registered representatives, sales assistants and customers on a variety of topics including data questions, content questions, and overall questions on broker dealer software.

Contacts clearing firm(s) and other external vendors to resolve inquiries.

Provides general operational processing assistance.

May research and resolve incoming inquiries and errors.

Recognizes and reports data anomalies, or data inconsistencies.

Resolves moderately complex questions. Refers more detailed questions to more senior level representatives or other departments for resolution.

Ensures strict confidentiality of client, firm and employee records.

Other duties

May provide back up to other operational areas.

Informs Manager of all issues that appear to be non-compliant.

Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Solid knowledge of various data sources and data origins.

Solid knowledge of financial services industry and products.

Ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships.

Ability to develop knowledge of clearinghouse services, and industry tools.

Strong math skills.

Requires strong detail orientation and organization skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other relevant applications).

Education and Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2 - 4 years securities experience preferred

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Series 7 & 63 or 66 strongly preferred.
