GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Data Integrity Specialist contributes to the growth and profitability of Novus by managing, streamlining and maintaining accuracy of data critical to the media planning and buying process.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Gather, interpret, enter and maintain newspaper, magazine and digital advertising information. This includes but is not limited to publisher capabilities, product-specific details, rate information, deadlines and basic circulation numbers

o Incoming requests are generally in the form of service tickets that are assigned, monitored and managed by the Data Integrity team

o Publishers are contacted via phone and email. In addition to general information, the Data Integrity team also works with publisher contacts to resolve inconsistencies, missing data from rate cards or circulation reports as well as other complex issues

o Interpretation is often needed to translate media kit information into the format stored in our proprietary database

o While working on the above, database information is audited for completeness and accuracy; errors are identified and corrected

- Execute a variety of special projects as assigned

- Grow newspaper database to ensure maximum coverage capabilities across all markets by identifying and researching new publications and new products (i.e. Total Market Coverage newspaper products)

- Establish relationships with publisher contacts to ensure requests for specific information are provided in an accurate and timely manner

JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFICATIONS:

Required:

- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, internet)

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines

- Solid ability to interpret and proofread both numeric and written documentation

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work/multi-task in a fast-paced environment

- Must have a can-do attitude

- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Confident, independent, self-motivated and success driven

In addition, it would be beneficial for the candidate to have the following qualifications:

- Ability to create reports and manage data in Excel

There is also external communication with newspaper, magazine and online publishers via phone or email to gather and clarify publication and site specific information.
