JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Serves as an information and data resource to Foundation personnel, volunteers and customers, and performs receptionist and data management duties in Foundation office. Functions as a liaison for the department to ensure open and effective communication between the Foundation and its customers.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : Must have exceptional typing skills and possess advanced knowledge of complex functions of word processing, spelling, grammar, punctuation and business correspondence; Microsoft Word, Excel and additional computer database management experience is desirable. Must have legible handwriting. Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively and efficiently in a courteous and considerate manner to maintain contact with board members, volunteers, physicians, donors and other St. Peter’s Hospital and Foundation customers as this position is often the first point of contact representing St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation. Impeccable personal honesty, integrity and confidentiality are essential. One-year minimum experience in office setting with successful and regular public contact required. This detail-oriented worker will be a member of a small team in an office-based setting. While gift data entry is the main function, this position will regularly interact with volunteers, donors, board members, hospital employees and others. Position requires flexible thinking, ability to maintain important routine tasks while being able to address whatever current projects are under way. Position requires a willingness to engage in many varied tasks essential to successful fundraising events from rodeos to golf tournaments to black-tie.
EDUCATION : High school education or GED preferred. Additional business school preferred.
