The Analyst position for Data Quality is responsible for executing all audit functions including A/R, A/P and file closing for all NVOCC files processed through the GDS system. They will be responsible for data quality for documentation, accuracy including HBL, MBL and split sheet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Ensure daily thorough timely and accurate operational audit of Customer Service Representative files.
Ø Maintain and standardize YLA, NKYS, JSOX, Government and other
operational procedures and requirements.
Ø Provide daily feedback to Customer Service Representatives and Leads based on audit results and discrepancies in each file.
Ø Recommend process improvements to ensure 100% accuracy & compliance within file processing responsibilities; recommend corrective solutions to Customer Service team members as appropriate.
Ø Collaborate with other Data Quality Analysts to ensure consistency of processes and process improvements across branches.
Ø Review daily internal reports, exception reports and company’s Credit reports.
Ø Create management reports as required and provide analysis of performance measures.
Ø Maintain specific customer documentation requirements.
Ø Maintain thorough knowledge of the rate management applications such as Trade Tech , GDS rate management module,. etc.
Ø Ensure Customer Service Representatives generate and track file exception reports on a per file basis. Provide those reports and supporting comments to management appropriate.
Ø Generate, track and manage urgent requests to YLA such as payment requisitions, wire transfers, etc.
Ø Monitor, respond and follow-up on e-mails under timeline established by management.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE :
· 4 year College Degree plus 3 – 5 years of experience in an operational role with Ocean Carrier or NVOCC-related business required; or combination of equivalent education and experience.
· Experience in import customer service file processing, including knowledge of import filing & compliance requirements, required.
Must have direct knowledge of ocean ports, terminals, agent and carriers services and pricing policies. Must be knowledgeable with import, export operations’ terminology.
