Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, talented Data Quality Analyst to help us build a movement to create a more open mobile market that democratizes mobile performance data. The Data Analyst is responsible for evaluating and confirming the accuracy of mobile phone and carrier performance data. Key Responsibilities
  • Work with ambiguous and evolving data sets, developing guidelines and parameters, to review, assess, and validate accuracy of mobile phone and carrier performance data for RootMetrics products (e.g., RootScore Report: subscription based, data intensive mobile experience reports)
    • Formulate queries for large sums of data, evaluating and ensuring data integrity
    • Provide quality assurance of each product to identify possible issues and/or incorrect technical information
    • Provide in-depth analysis and assessment of data for client deliverables as well as internal resources
Skills Required
  • Strong SQL query writing skills
  • Strong data analysis and logic skills
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or other database structures
  • Display consistent follow through in research and documentation
  • Ability to make well-informed and conclusive decisions with vague and/or ambiguous data
  • Ability to lead through expression of expert opinions and recommendations
  • Willingness to share ideas and collaborate with others in a team setting
  • Relentlessly high quality standards, accuracy and extreme attention to detail
  • A history of positive teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to juggle many projects and consistently deliver results despite multiple priorities
Skills Appreciated
  • Automation or Tool Programming Skills
  • Experience with Power Pivot and/or SQL Reporting Services
  • Experience with Access databases
  • Experience with mapping software
  • Experience creating and maintaining databases
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant and progressive experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university required
