Job Summary
The Data Scientist is responsible for managing the design, execution and analysis of advanced analytic projects to drive revenue growth and ensure enterprise strategy is optimized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Understand and demonstrate the principles of the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values, and comply with policies and procedures as required.

• Partner with cross-department teams to identify and solve business challenges.

• Develop predictive statistical, behavioral and other models via supervised/unsupervised machine learning, statistical analysis and other predictive modeling techniques.

• Drive the compilation of new client data and the refinement of existing data sources to aid in collection growth.

• Collaborate with the Strategy and IT groups to develop and support our internal data platform for ongoing analyses.

• Lead cross-functional testing initiatives to improve overall Company performance.

• Manage the end-to-end testing process, including design requirements, sampling, execution and detailed evaluation and presentation.

• Contribute to the testing and analysis process, optimizing corporate marketing efficiencies.

• Ensure statistically valid tests are conducted, including the establishment of clear hypotheses and the metrics designed to answer hypotheses.

• Develop:
o Test and control experimental designs that measure incremental impact of marketing programs and maintain a high return on investment.

o Experimental designs for marketing programs and associated techniques to analyze, model and simulate marketing campaigns and responses.

o Marketing analytics data-mart and automated reporting.

o Discrete-event simulation of overall corporate marketing process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Education: B.S. or M.S. in a relevant technical field (e.g. applied mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, operations research or econometrics).

• Experience: Minimum six years’ experience in a relevant role with a minimum of four years’ designing and executing marketing tests and analyzing results. Experience with the development of experimental designs for marketing and techniques to analyze, model and simulate the marketing process. Extensive experience solving analytics problems using quantitative approaches.

• Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Strong presentation and facilitation skills with ability to convey statistical information in audience friendly terms. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise and actionable manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Strong commitment to teamwork and working productively in a team setting. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Extremely high levels of personal motivation, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and integrity are required. Strong verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and listening skills.

• Analytical: Strong analytical skills with ability to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate options and develop solutions. Knowledge of principles, processes and tools used for analyzing and manipulating large sets of data. Strong knowledge of statistical methods, particularly in modeling and business analytics. Comfort with manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from varying sources.

• Technical: Fluency with at least one scripting language such as Python, Java, or C/C++. Familiarity with relational databases, SQL and Business Intelligence tools required. Expert knowledge of analysis tool such as R, Matlab or SAS, with the ability to transfer that knowledge to different tools. Advanced Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, Vlookup, and Macros. Strong working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Powerpoint, Project, Word and Access.

• Leadership: Ability to effectively lead cross-departmental teams.

• Other: Proven passion for generating insights from data.

Work Environment
Well lit, well ventilated, temperature controlled office located in our fast paced, high energy corporate headquarters.

Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers such as using a keyboard. Ability to see within normal parameters. Ability to speak and hear within normal range, face-to-face, in front of groups and on the phone. Ability to move freely about.

Other Work Requirements
Weekend and evening hours may be required.
