Nokia is seeking for a Data Scientist to join our Big Data Analytics team in Burlington, MA. Our team produces business value and insight from Big Data. We are searching for a Data Scientists who can analyze very large datasets to drive our Consumer and Device Analytics capabilities.

The Day to Day Role will:
Create data models for deeper understanding around consumers, channel management & Devices

Organize, analyze, retrieve, classify, and report on Big data

Design and execute Machine Learning and other data mining techniques

Develop advanced Data visualizations methods, including dashboards and tools for data exploratory and analysis

Design predictive and statistical models

Present to all levels of organization including peers, senior management, internal customers

Oversee the entire data processing cycles, including : Data collection, extraction, cleansing (ETL)


Masters (Math, Statistics, CS or physics preferred). Ph.D. Preferred.

Must have programming experience in

R or other statistical packages

. Additionally Python, and Java is a plus.

Experience with visualization tools and methods (i.e. Tableau, QlikView D3, etc.)

5+ years of application in a broad range of statistical concepts and methods

4+ years of Expertise in analytical and algorithm design

Excellent communications skills including the ability to translate and present findings

Innovative, creative, proactive and outside the box thinking

Experience with relational databases & Big Data systems such as Hadoop, HBase, AWS is a plus
