The Data Services Product Manager (Product Manager) supports Data Services: List Sales / Management, Compliance Data and Customer Data Integration. They will manage development of products, support sales efforts with product expertise / materials, manage compliance to contract and regulatory guidelines, manage workflow with various departments and support marketing efforts. The Data Services Product Manager functions as the central resource for the design, manufacturing, quality, testing, marketing and distribution of products as they move through their lifecycles. The Data Services Product Manager acts as hands on partner with engineering and Platform managers. They promote the use of new technologies and industry-leading trends, leveraging industry and product/service knowledge and best practices to help create business strategies and innovative products and services. The Data Services Product Manager will be responsible for the creation and management product lifecycle roadmap including ROI tracking for all products within Data Services.

Product Creation: Data Services - 3rd Party Data, Derived Data, Data Hygiene, Data Integration

Help Practice leads create and document Vision statements including supporting documentation leading to approval of Vision

Conduct competitive Product, Positioning and Pricing research

Lead process of developing Business Requirements documentation with research and cross-functional input. Develop Use Cases and User Stories. Creates and communicates product specifications and requirements to Business Analyst team.

Support all requirements for Technical and Operational specifications leading to the development and launch phases.

Support Practice areas as the liaison between external 3rd party lists (sales) and implementation (platform)

Assist writing data source requirements, creating data dictionaries and generating meta data reference input.

Research to assist in development of next generation Keying and data hygiene (CDI) product requirements

Help Practice leads develop and maintain Lifecycle approach to Product development

Product Management

Coordinate and prioritize Product Enhancement efforts

Coordinate and manage testing projects with client delivery teams.

Ensure products are easily consumed / used by end user.

Create ongoing improvements to facilitate use

Product Sales support: Marketing / Training

Act as in-house subject matter expert (SME) interface regarding Product function and service levels

Coordinates/developers Training materials and Product Content working with and on behalf of the Practice Leads.

Participates in the development of marketing communication and branding materials for product roll outs and enhancements Compliance subject matter expertise

Create standard usage guidelines for all Data sources,

Develop and distribute PII Compliance materials to client teams related to their usage of data

Work with IT and client teams to perform client site/data audits

Work with Platform managers to implement rules and technical constructs to manage compliance within standard usage guidelines

Ensure client solutions and deployments meet industry standard compliance requirements

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Develop and maintain expertise in compliance related software tools, 3rd Party Commercial data products and compliance regulations related to PII data storage and permitted usage

Develop and maintain expertise in Compliance data including DMA suppression files, teleservices, do-not-call and do-not-email.

Product Performance

Create product Service Level Agreements and ensure expected performance is maintained

Provides regular updates and reports to management related to product line performance metrics

Provides information and reports / status of product lifecycle.

Areas of focus

Communication – product details, training content, updates and status

Prioritization – coordination with project management, internal clients, practice leadership and platform management

Standards – creation and communication and maintenance of service levels and product performance

Reporting Relationship

The Product Manager: Data Services reports to the Director, Data Management, Product Development and Marketing

BA required

Minimum 5 years in data / direct marketing services agency

Digital data experience a plus

Formal Product Marketing experience / training (product lifecycle planning)

Ability to demonstrate quantitative pricing approach

Ability to participate in business plan development

Demonstrate understanding of operating with a regulated / compliance-driven work environment

Some technical and operational acumen

Ability to work within a multi-disciplined and cross-functional team

Ability to define, develop and maintain performance metrics measurements

Able to work autonomously

Experience working in Agile development environment

Able to work in a fast-paced environment
