5+ Years Project Lead/Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Analyst Experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SQL Assistant Experience

Business Objects Training Experience

Business Objects Report Development Experience

Ability to work with end users/customers to understand and developer requirements

Experience with the State's SUITE methodology is a plus

Analyze project requirements and develop detailed specifications for new and existing data warehouse reporting requirements

Review and validate the development of test data and scenarios incorporating extensive knowledge of the Agency's business rules.

Needs to be able to work independently and not rely on State or other team members - need someone at Senior level

Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector. Meet with users for clarification and elaboration as may be necessary to clearly define a problem and conceptualize a development plan. Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and devise solutions and alternatives. make appropriate recommendations.

Working with the Data Modelers and developers, facilitate modification of the logical design to create a physical design most suited to the reporting needs of the customer.

Ability to design applications taking into consideration data reconciliation (to the source system), query/reporting performance, and analytical business value.

Preferred (but not required) experience with State Government and Human Services business areas including Eligibility, Child and Adult Welfare, and Child Support.

Required to work on-site in Lansing, MI at the State's Grand Tower location in down town Lansing

Full time position at 40 hours per week 8-5 ET Monday through Friday

Some extra hours are requested from time to time above 40 hours per week but require State of Michigan approval
