The Data Warehouse Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting all data associated with the USA material database.

The selected candidate will define system user interfaces and system functional specifications.

Responsible for verifying the accuracy of data, maintaining and supporting the data warehouse and managing all materials requirements in SAP and SharePoint to enable cost competitive Commercial Operations of Iberdrola Renewables’ 4800 MW US wind turbine fleet.

Material Requirements range from regular maintenance parts and supplies to capital equipment across multiple turbine OEM platforms.

Develops and maintains Material Logistics Data Sheets (MLDS) for each part to define required part characteristics in the Materials Database.

Utilizes system tools in SAP and SharePoint to establish and maintain the Materials Database to support Fields Services, Materials Management, and Sourcing groups.

Manages change control process and solves problems as they arise.

Develops and implements system configurations to allow easy searching in the Material Database for part numbers and part manufacturers though multiple searching options.

Manages the process for establishing new part numbers and any revisions to existing parts, as required.

Enables alternate and direct sourcing efforts by providing a complete definition of all part characteristics in a standardized format.

Works with all internal stakeholders to documents processes and make process improvements.

Works with internal stakeholders in the SAP Warehouse Management and Materials Management system tools to implement supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, units of measure, and quality inspection requirements.

Ensures smooth transition from Oracle to global SAP in January, 2013.


Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Proficient with database management and all MS Office applications.

Excellent analytical, project management, presentation and communication skills

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle and SAP

Experience with SharePoint

Inventory and Materials Management Experience

Self-starter with demonstrated performance leading initiatives in a matrixed organization

Preference for applicants with experience in wind turbine operations

Renewable Energy experience, more specifically wind turbine and solar experience

A credit check will be administered when a prospective employee will be working in Finance, Accounting, Treasury or where duties may involve handling of funds, accounts or cash.
