Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides system administration of all business applications, databases, and servers. This includes hardware and software installation, configuration, support, and maintenance for mission-critical and business application environments including production, disaster recovery, development, training, and test environments.
Application and database security maintenance
Back-end (database) servers
Middle-tier (application) servers
Front-end (web) servers
Database backup, replication and recovery
Database configuration per designated security requirements
Database audit generation and review
Application and database performance analysis and monitoring
System and application sizing
Disaster recovery and high availability planning and testing
User account administration, including assigning access levels per system access requests and password resets
Troubleshooting application problems
Review and provide feedback on SDLC artifacts submitted by software maintenance and development teams
Participation in SDLC phase review meetings and integrated project team meetings, when assigned
Develop, document and distribute production operational procedures
Implement and support projects including updating project plans/managers
Provide day to day support to customers and for all enterprise servers in production and/or pre-production environments
Must be a US Citizen or Current Green Card Holder with the ability to pass a government background investigation. Must meet eligibility requirements for access to information systems.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or a related field is required.
Requires rotational 24x7 on call support.
5+ years experience as a database administrator.
Stay abreast of advances and trends in technology and general business developments.
Provide innovative ideas and solutions.
Experience using Oracle RDBMS.
Experience using Sun Solaris and Linux.
Experience using Oracle Internet Application Server, Oracle WebLogic Application Server and JBoss application server.
Experience using Microsoft SQL Server is desired.
