Here is an opportunity to use your consultation and technical skills to support complex projects/activities of the development life cycle, and research new tools to help the organization.
The Federal Reserve is looking for an experienced Database Administrator. Here you will have the opportunity to support for the Bank’s application projects, applications in data modeling, database design, analysis, customization, testing, implementation, and maintenance of various environments.
Also, provide technical assistance in resolving production system problems and participate in investigating technologies and recommending solutions to meet Bank business needs.
3 + years DBA experience required in Oracle database (10g, 11g) and DB2 on LUW
Strong technical skills in database environments on the Linux/AIX platform
Experience in data modeling and logical and physical database design; system monitors and database performance and tuning and the ability to troubleshoot errors and alerts generated by the DBM; ETL technology
Proficient in database externals and utilities and strong in backup, recovery, and refresh strategies
Working experience in creating database tables, setting up indexes, data constraints, database views, and referential integrity
Strong working knowledge of DB2 tools on LUW OS, database encryption, replication/HADR, XML, DB2/Java and Purescale and other clustering;
technical knowledge of multiple-level (client/server or n-tier) applications: and knowledge of DB2 Range Partition, MDC and MQT
Experience developing database scripts, store procedures, and triggers
Self-starter and be able to perform work with minimal supervisory direction
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees and leaders internally and externally to the organization
Proven ability to collaborate with others, initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions and accept challenging assignments
Must be a U.S. citizen or a green carder holder with intent to become a U.S. Citizen
