Individual(s) assigned to this category shall be responsible primarily for monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance tuning on database systems (e.g., ORACLE, SYBASE).
The database administrator also may be assigned responsibilities related to the development of non-database program components (e.g., developing shell scripts to load or dump database information).
To be considered for this position, you must be a US citizen and be able to meet the full eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
The candidate shall have a minimum of 8 years of general experience as a database administrator.
In an overall composite staffing sense, the contractor’s database administration team must have experience over the breadth of Sybase RDBMS, Oracle RDBMS, MS Access, Oracle Context, Oracle Forms, Powerbuilder, MS SQL Server, and Indexed Sequential Access Method (ISAM) with a minimum of three years of recent experience supporting those databases.
This experience must include database performance optimization, developing and/or changing database indices, redesigning the database structure, and/or reloading data into the database.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science may be substituted for four years of general experience.
