Performs issue discovery and troubleshooting to obtain resolution, interacting with vendors, customers, and analysts as needed. Able to prioritize work efforts and projects.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspects of required database configurations and utilities. At least 5 years of computer support experience.
Oracle formal training and/or SQL Server formal training preferred.
Collaborates with systems analysts and vendor for defining, planning, and implementing enterprise database projects to meet the business objectives.
Install, configure and maintain required database systems including third party requirements adhering to quality control standards.
Responsible for database structures that provide optimal performance based on ongoing capacity planning while adhering to industry standards.
Defines, documents, and implements database backup procedures that provide full database recoveries including database backup monitoring to ensure compliance.
Performs database issue discovery and troubleshooting, to obtain resolution, acting as a liaison between vendors, customers and analysts as needed.
Ability to prioritize work assignments including ensuring response to all help desk cases within established service level agreements.
