We have one opportunity available and the position will be filled based on applicable skills. The position will be located at our Corporate headquarters in Middleton, WI.The Database Administrator will support, monitor, and maintain databases across the TDS family of companies. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and creative individual with a background in database administration or SQL programming with a strong desire to support and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle and SQL Server databases, including security setup/maintenance, auditing and backup/recovery. Troubleshooting, performance monitoring and tuning of Oracle and SQL Server databases. Participate and potentially lead process improvements and system enhancements of moderate to high complexity to meet customer and business needs.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field -OR- 4+ years equivalent combination of technical and functional experience. 3+ years experience working with Oracle database technology in programming and/or database administration. 1+ years proven experience with Oracle 9i/10g/11g; SQL Server experience a strong plus. Participation in off-hours on-call rotation. Preferred Skills: In-depth experience working with Oracle RDBMS technology as a programmer or a database administrator. Demonstrated knowledge of SQL language and Oracle PL/SQL. Working knowledge of scripting with UNIX Sun Solaris and Linux. Experience working with OEM Grid Control a strong plus. Oracle RAC/ASM/Cluster experience a plus. Demonstrated cross platform knowledge and skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Proven ability to work within a team environment.
