Position Information:
Responsibilities

Analyze business/technical requirements in support of database design in collaboration with business partners and development teams
Deliver high quality database design artifacts, including models and metadata, to support retail applications
Conduct peer reviews of database design artifacts to ensure high quality and standards compliance
Develop and maintain data related policies and standards
Implement and mature data quality practices throughout retail systems environment
Conduct data analysis and profiling
Provide support for compliance activities related to existing database design
Provide leadership in a collaborative, customer oriented environment
Identify opportunities for process/product improvement and drive solutions

Oracle 11g Database Administration
Oracle RAC
Oracle Golden Gate
Oracle Data Guard
Oracle Performance Tuning
SQL Server 2005/2008 
General Summary
Provides leadership in the design solutions, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
Performs root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of multiple, large development projects.
Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
Serves as team lead liaison between business customers, development and support groups.
Coaches the development of less senior DBAs.
Ensures deliverables. 
Domicile
This position will be located in Dallas, Texas. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
Typically has more than five years work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
