Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a Regular Full time Environmental Database Leader. The successful candidate will lead a group of environmental database professionals that have developed cutting edge solutions to some of the most complex environmental data challenges. The group has the capability to right size the database solution to the requirements of the project. As the leader of the practice the person will be responsible with business development efforts for existing and new clients as well as supporting enterprise wide projects and business development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
>Leader for the State of Practice for the Environmental Data Base team for existing and new client projects.

>Work with client Environmental Data Base leaders in meeting their program and project needs.

>Set the company direction for the design and implementation of practices, procedures and software for data bases.

>Lead the direction for the database team to support the companies statistical and graphical data analyses teams.

>Lead in the coordination of data management staff and data users. This can include but not limited to IT, system development, data entry, quality assurance reviews, and training.

Basic Qualifications:
>Graduate Degree in Computer Sciences, Environmental/Biological Sciences, or closely related fields of study

>Ten or more years in database development

>Experience in working with environmental databases

>Experience in leading teams of data base professionals to meet project schedule and budgets

>Experience in developing solutions to client data base needs

>Proven track record in client interaction leading to new projects.

>Must be fluent in SQL and strong proficiency in MS Access

> Must be able to travel periodically between Cardno offices within the US

Desired Qualifications:
>Positive, flexible, & team-oriented approach with responsiveness to project requirements, is also important to work effectively in the company’s dynamic environment.

>Self-motivated; strong initiative; & effective oral & written skills

>Detail oriented and resourceful

>A background in environmental science or quantitative analysis is strongly desired

>Experience with the Windows environment, specifically including SQL Server and Microsoft Access

>Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) is a plus
