Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Assists Database Systems Manager in maintaining an efficient database operations to ensure system supports fundraising strategies and is functioning at an optimum level. Includes the effective capturing of data, accurate analysis and reporting, and developing and managing a master coding plan and tables with internal and external sources.
2.Enters gifts, codes, comments and pertinent information into donor records for incoming donations, and ensures that information is entered accurately, timely, and consistently.
3.Generates automated donation acknowledgement letters, ensuring the accurate and timely generation, stuffing, mailing and filing of letters.
4.Extracts data for reporting and mailing purposes, which includes the writing of programs and queries; production of standard and custom reports; performing merges, printing letters, labels and mailing lists;
5.Performs additional donation receipt and acknowledgment tasks, including preparation, tracking and mailing of template letters for designated gifts.
6.Provides general administrative support for Database Systems Manager and management, including composing correspondence, maintaining and updating the Data Entry Procedure Manual, generating reports, creating codes for direct mail drops, providing backup to other department staff, answering telephones, and responding to inquiries from donors, volunteers and staff.
7.Manages the “Gift in Kind” gift acceptance process, which includes typing acknowledgment letters, data input and filing documents in a timely manner.
8.Supports users by developing and delivering targeted training to current and new users, and helps staff with special data entry and report generation needs.
9.Maintains internal and external knowledge of the fundraising database and related systems.
10.Personally maintains current donor records in fundraising database.

Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer sciences, or comparable work experience in administration and/or data management.
2.Strong data entry and typing skills and advanced knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
3.At least one year of relevant data processing and/or administrative experience.
4.Ability to work in a process driven environment with minimal supervision.
5.Excellent interpersonal and English verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate clearly and courteously on the telephone, by email and in person in a customer-friendly manner.
6.Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, spelling, grammar and math skills, and the ability to produce professional and clear correspondence.
7.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8.Experience working in a fundraising database, ideally with Raiser’s Edge or a SalesForce product, is preferred.
9.Ability to write queries and selects utilizing report writers is preferred.
