ClinicalRM is seeking an Database Systems Analyst for Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX .
Perform review, analysis, and programmatic modification of virtual database models in performing database development processes. Data analysis shall include reviewing operating procedures, database schemas and modeling, data format analysis for content and data type, development of relational database schemas, tables, and repositories for medical research studies and protocols.
Develop innovative approaches to database programming methodologies that are well documented and protected against premature disclosure for potential patents and government copyrights for clinical studies and protocol development.
Develop highly specialized .NET, JAVA and Oracle applications to support the integration of disparate data and systems, into a research database. Data sources include, but not limited to, other networked military healthcare databases (CIS, CHCS/AHLTA, Eccentris, PACS, IMPAX, IRBnet), medical equipment, experimental and clinical data, and third party proprietary applications.
Provide continual software engineering and database support to research personnel, principle investigators, and other clinical study programs. This includes developing highly specialized analytical, data collection, and reporting tools/software customized towards specific research protocols.
Provide database and systems programming support including the development of specialized software utilizing Oracle 11g tools, ASP.NET, C#, JAVA, C++, Visual Basic.NET, XML or other database languages for development of integration software for clinical/research database data exchange in relational database repositories, and statistical applications.
Provide all job-related progress reports/technical reports as requested.
Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations.
Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.
Master’s Degree and 6 years of IT/Database Management experience.
Experience with Oracle applications, ASP.NET, C#, JAVA, C++, Visual Basic.NET, XML.
Experience in CIS, CHCS/AHLTA, Eccentris, PACS, IMPAX, IRBnet a plus.
Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
