The Day Treatment staff assists the Day Treatment QP with providing one-on-one and group interventions to the consumer.
FUNCTIONS: INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
Becoming and remaining familiar with the consumer’s Person Centered Plan.
Becoming familiar with DSM-IV diagnoses and symptoms.
Explaining to the consumer his/her goals as written in the PCP.
Reinforcing positive interaction between consumer and others.
Providing one on one and group interventions to consumers.
Assisting the consumer with the development daily and community living skills
Assisting the consumer with the development of socialization skills.
Assisting the consumer with the development of Adaptation skills.
Assisting the consumer with development of leisure time interests/activities.
Assisting the consumer with the development of anger management skills.
Providing therapeutic interventions/mentoring of consumers.
Assisting the consumer with the development of coping skills.
Training caregivers on skill building interventions.
Providing input and attending consumer treatment team meetings.
Documenting interventions on service notes as defined by NC DHHS guidelines.
Responding to crisis situations in timely manner.
Assisting the QP with the planning and organizing of the summer program.
Attending scheduled training for enhancement of service provisions.
Adhering to all of the company’s policies and procedures
Education / Certification / Knowledge and Experience Required:
A GED, high school diploma, or associate degree.
* Prior experience working with children in a mental health environment is a plus
