Ensure that Sales Volumes and Customer Sales Satisfaction strategies are in alignment with Profitability objectives at both the wholesale and the retail level for the Region.
Direct the activities of the Sales Operation Managers (SOM’s) and Regional Operation staff to create and implement Sales, Customer Satisfaction and Distribution strategies that support the Region’s Sales and SSI targets.
Maintain a high level understanding of Sales, Distribution and Incentive strategies and tactics.
Ensure that all actions positively impact Brand Integration and are in alignment with both new and on-going programs.
Job Responsibilities

Drive high-quality sales operations through the use of tools, training and support to Field and Dealer network and ensure resolution of issues.
Direct and manage 11-15 SOM’s as well as Region Operations team including the recruitment and development and mentoring of team members.
Direct and oversee the definition, development and implementation of Volkswagen Sales strategies for new cars, CPO, Fleet and customer satisfaction.
Direct the preparation, presentation and monitoring of Regional incentive budgets.
Define specifications for tools and training for Field, Sales Trainers and Dealer network.
Develop Sales strategies with the Operations Managers to drive implementation of these strategies towards the achievement of Sales objectives.
Ensure efficient and high quality Dealer network coverage and Dealer support through the Field organization.
Monitor and evaluate sales trends and general market conditions on a Regional basis and take appropriate action to ensure achievement of business plan objectives.
Lead monthly and annual Regional Sales Planning processes and adjust Regional Forecasts as required.
Take part in monthly sales planning meeting at headquarters.
Ensure that Region Operations Staff are accurate and complete in forecasting, vehicle ordering and allocation of vehicles and provide input on models and option mixes and production volumes to the forecasting process.
Approve recommendations for model and option mixes and participate in the recommendation of production volumes based on determined requirements.
Ensure that Dealers are planning and ordering sufficient vehicle inventory, with the right mix, to achieve their Sales targets.
Direct and manage activities and work flow of the SOM’s, including Sales Planning and Incentives, Certified Pre-Owned and Fleet and Vehicle Distribution.
Work with the Region General Manager, Fixed Operations to ensure synergies and alignment.
Implement Dealer standards, performance metrics and compensation programs.
Monitor compliance of Dealers with defined standards and resolve non-compliance issues.
Provide input to Marketing regarding local marketing activities (Dealer Marketing Associations).
Manage the effective and efficient use of the Vehicle Incentives Budget.
Ensure alignment between National and Market Area incentive programs.
In conjunction with Operations Managers, ensure appropriate and timely action is taken to improve the performance of the Dealer network towards achievement of Sales and Market Share objectives.

10 - 15 years in automotive industry in a sales, finance, strategic, and business development capacity
10 years’ supervisory experience
Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing
Prior related experience in a management position
Proven success in leading a team of professionals in achieving rigorous sales and profit objectives
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful sales, profit and marketing programs
Experienced in developing strong, positive working relations, both in the corporate and field environments
Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop successful team members who interact well with both the Volkswagen dealer body and Corporate personnel
Demonstrated ability to motivate both dealers and employees to achieve Volkswagen business objectives in the areas of new car sales, customer service, parts sales and retail profitability
Experience managing high performance Teams
