DESCRIPTION

The Dean is the senior academic and management leader for the chiropractic program and is responsible for providing leadership for the development and implementation of policy involving all aspects of the chiropractic program including curriculum content and design, clinical education and patient care.
Additionally, the Dean is responsible for program quality, through continuous assessment and improvement, through assuring the quality of instruction and through actively assuring the linkage between the academic program and the education required of practicing professionals. The Dean must provide leadership for program review and curriculum development, encourage and support faculty in the use of innovative instructional methods, communicate a broad vision for the College, and motivate faculty to contribute to the attainment of program goals. The Dean is also responsible for providing leadership with the College for the University's commitment to faculty and student diversity and the implementation of curriculum changes that foster cultural competencies. Reporting to the Provost, the position offers an opportunity for a creative professional to lead us toward the highest quality Chiropractic educational outcomes.

Responsible for providing leadership and focus for the intellectual direction of the College
Plans and oversees the development and administration of its academic and clinical programs
Supports the university's commitment to faculty and student diversity
Ensures academic programs reflect international and multicultural perspectives
Recommends appointments, promotion, salary and overall budgetary matters

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree from a CCE-accredited program in chiropractic or its foreign equivalent
Impressive record of clinical and teaching experience
Demonstrated leadership experience
Licensed (or able to become licensed) in the state of Minnesota as a chiropractor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong managerial aptitude
