Germanna Community College is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to serve as Dean of Arts and Sciences. The dean is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs for transfer, assessment of learning outcomes, and leadership of approximately 45 full-time and 150 part-time faculty and staff. Additionally, the dean manages the division's budget, curriculum development, assessment of general education, and fulfills general administrative and professional responsibilities. This position, which reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services, is accountable for academic quality, customer service, student success, and faculty professional development in the division.

The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates integrity, innovation, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability; fosters collegial relationships; possesses strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; and has experience with transfer education.

This is a 12-month administrative faculty position.

Salary range: $62,777 - $87,416 DOE plus State benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours from an accredited institution; college-level teaching experience; demonstrated leadership of faculty; prior supervisory or managerial experience in an educational institution.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate
Community college-level teaching experience
A graduate degree in one of the division's disciplines
Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and use of instructional technology
