Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position is responsible for the supervision, administration and implementation of campus student support services on the Ybor City campus that complement the instructional programs of the College. Student support services include academic advising, counseling, admissions/records/registration, student government, testing, student conduct adjudication, career planning and placement, orientation, disabled student services, and Honors program. The position provides vision and direction in planning, organizing, and leading student development programs that fulfill the College's mission and comply with College policy and procedure.
Prefer applicants with: (1) a degree in counseling, psychology, social work, student personnel services or a closely-related field, (2) experience planning and executing projects and professional development programs, (3) an understanding of the community college experience, (4) experience and/or knowledge of the various departments within a higher education Student Services division, (5) experience advising students at community colleges or four-year educational institutions, (6) experience teaching students at community colleges or four-year educational institutions, (7) experience using a student record and information management systems, (8) familiarity with services for and the needs of veterans, (9) familiarity with services for and needs of individuals with disabilities, (10) experience and/or knowledge of student development and student organizations, (11) experience and/or knowledge of the budgeting processes and (12) experience working with diverse populations and diverse settings.
