Assists with all operation and maintenance of the vessel. Assist guests in every way possible in order to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and board passengers in a courteous and friendly manner, while ensuring that that passengers board and disembark safely. Inform passengers and employees of safety procedures.
Perform constant deck patrol for passenger safety and fire watch. Report any passenger situations, including unruly passengers, to security personnel.
Maintain cleanliness of vessel decks inside and out. Sweep, mop, wash and scrub decks, bulkheads and overheads. Pick up trash and dispose of trash per procedures. Perform painting duties as required.
Participate in all required drills. Ensure that all safety equipment is in operating order. Assist with vessel departure and arrival: including the handling of all cables, safety lines, and ramps, etc.
Comply with all Internal Controls and Company, departmental, and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain uniform and comply with company policy relating to dress and personal appearance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must qualify for all licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
