Basic Job Concept:
Efficiently deliver product to customers, process paperwork accurately, follow driver safety rules and provide professional customer service. Assist in the warehouse loading trucks, palletizing product and performing other duties at the request of management.

High School diploma or equivalent.
A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A with airbrake endorsement.
No DUI convictions – maximum of six points on MVR.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Six months route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
Knowledge of the SW Florida area.
Experience in handling money preferred.
Proven ability to communicate articulately in written and verbal English.
Perform simple arithmetic and operate a calculator.
Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
Promptly communicate throughout the day to Customer Service any product shorts, quality issues, and all customer concerns.
Answer cell phones promptly when called.
Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform pre and post-trip inspections on assigned truck.
Assist in shipping and loading trucks for afternoon routes and palletize product.
Ensure all paperwork is done accurately and thoroughly.
Responsible for checking with management and getting prior authorization before accepting payment that differs from the terms on the invoice. (C.O.D. only, no checks, signature only etc.)
Handle all customer contact including complaints professionally. Ensure all customer complaints are communicated to upper management.
Adhere to our company ethics policy.
Responsible for reporting to the VP of Operations within 24 hours all moving violations that result in points being issued and/or your license being suspended. This applies to both personal and company vehicles.
Report all accidents in the company vehicle immediately to the VP of Operations. This also includes any work related injuries and damage to company property.
Responsible for maintaining a current driver’s license and DOT card.
Responsible for upkeep of vehicles at end of shift- clean cab and box.
Call in twice a day to speak with manager or dispatcher to communicate your delivery status.
Notify Customer Service and the dispatcher immediately if you encounter a delay in your delivery so that your customers may be contacted and advised of the delay.
Must comply with our company preferred work methods and safety practices.
Must complete the Defensive Driver Training program annually.
Work overtime as requested.
Good attendance and adherence to the work schedule.
Other duties as assigned.

Stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body, and walk.
Lift and move cases (selecting product and placing on a pallet) ranging in weight from 10 lbs to 100 lbs continuously to and from heights ranging from floor to knee, waist, shoulder, and overhead.
Use hands and fingers to peel and stick labels on cases.
Handle and feel objects and/or equipment controls; reach with hands and arms.
Must have the ability to talk and hear; must be able to hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment.
Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform position.
While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working is done on concrete flooring. Some duties are performed in the warehouse and will require work to be done in varying climates. Temperatures range from zero in the coolers to 95 degrees Fahrenheit or above outdoors. The shift end-time fluctuates with the employer’s daily needs. The associate occasionally works in high and precarious places.
