Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Dementia Care Program Director for our Rocky Hill, CT location. The Dementia Care Program Director will maintain responsibility for the THarbor Assisted Living Program and all related functions within the Benchmark Community. Responsibilities include supporting and monitoring the day-to-day delivery of quality services resulting in high resident, family and associate satisfaction. This position schedules all associate/aide staff for 24/7 delivery of services within the community while monitoring available labor hours to budget. Operating the Assisted Living program includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, coaching, and developing all of the Assisted Living Resident Care Associates to ensure the highest caliber resident care staff is consistently in place.

Integral components of the position include successful outcomes with customer, family and associate relations; quality assurance; regulatory compliance and financial management. Additionally, this role partners with our Resident Care Director (RN) in order that the services driven by the resident care service plan are provided and changes are communicated. The program goal is to provide an environment that maintains each resident’s highest level of physical, social and psychological well-being. The Dementia Care Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director.

Job Requirements The candidate for this position requires an undergraduate degree. The position calls for a detailed individual with proven leadership skills and prior management experience. The ability to connect with others and build relationships with positive outcomes using an influential skill set is a key attribute. Computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Excel and YARDI will be used on a daily basis. This candidate will demonstrate strong communication, organization, prioritization, multi- tasking, grace under pressure and a “can do” attitude skill set.
