We are currently recruiting for the following open position:

L POSITION SUMMARY: Chanel, Inc., a leader in the luxury goods industry, seeks a Department Manager, WFJ to oversee the daily operations of the watch/watch and fine jewelry counter at the boutique. This position is a member of management and will assist in achieving overall WFJ sales goals individually and for the boutique through developing action plans, direct client interaction, offering input in product selection and any other activities as needed. The Department Manager will report to the Boutique Director and will directly supervise all WFJ Advisors. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achievement of Watch and Jewelry department sales goal
  • Coordination of floor coverage and scheduling to optimize sales
  • Conduct morning meetings and build internal partnerships
  • Coordination of CASS program for repairs
  • Ongoing development of training program in partnership with Education Department
  • Assist Boutique Director to develop and execute boutique action plan
  • Achieve personal sales goal as set by management
  • Develop/cultivate strong relationships with high end local and foreign targets as potential clients of the boutique
  • Leverage existing relationships with top Fashion clients to cross sell in Watch and Fine Jewelry
  • Assist Boutique Director to coordinate merchandise plan and model stock for the boutique
  • Assist Boutique Management with ongoing merchandise and sales training and education
  • Maintain standards of display and merchandising
  • Maintain all operational policy and procedure standards
  • Represent CHANEL Watch & Fine Jewelry at designated events as required
  • Assist Management in identifying new market opportunities
Some project initiatives may include:
  • Propose ideas for special events and client entertainment
  • Develop a targeted boutique action plan. Update the plan quarterly
  • Collaborate with local businesses to leverage and develop client relationships i.e. Hotels, Private Clubs, and Tour Groups
  • BA or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in a Fine Jewelry or Watch luxury environment
  • GIA Preferred
  • Multi-lingual skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of the fine jewelry and watch competitive market and environment
  • Proven track record of creating external business partnerships for client development
  • Ability to maintain a cooperative and professional relationship with boutique and corporate management and staff
  • Exhibit excellent client service to all potential and existing clients of the Boutique
  • Adherence to all CHANEL security and operational procedures
  • Experience with creation and execution of events and client entertainment
  • General business knowledge
