Position Summary: The Deployment Consultant will be the principal point of contact for change management and business process transitions during deployments.

Position Description: Engage a broad range of customers throughout the Department of State and convey the highest levels of professionalism and competence during software upgrades and system transitions. Position demands Deployment Consultant to be able to work collaboratively and independently. Deployment Consultant will provide briefings to explain new features and functionalities, known issues, and work arounds, as well as trouble shooting options, to technical and non-technical users. In some instances, user and administrative support will be done remotely.

Responsibilities:
Interface with various levels of State Department end users (domestically and overseas).

Coordinate and plan software deployments.

Draft communications to be disseminated to various Department end users.

Assist project manager in the preparation and execution of software deployments.

Assess deployment methodologies in accordance with requirements.

Provide personal customer support, especially for high level/VIP users.

Communicate with technical and non technical personnel.

Report to various levels of management (internal and external).

Brief users on how software product will change work processes.

Assist with adapting SOP's to ensure smooth transitions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Understanding of State Department (organizationally and culturally).

Experience in change management, system usability, and software deployments.

Must Have An Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of software user interface design principles and usability.

Understanding of change management principles preferred.

Knowledge of Visio and SharePoint.

Must be detail-oriented with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Top Secret Clearance Preferred.
