Transwestern, a national full service commercial real estate company, is seeking an experienced administrative professional to work in its Dallas, Texas office. The Design Associate (DA) is responsible for producing and generating various maps and aerials used in marketing and research presentations to company clients. Maps and aerial photos will depict population densities, specific retailer locations, retail competition, specific trade areas, drive-times, overall demographics, housing concentrations, and accessibility to specific workforce demographic, in support of all Transwestern’s service lines (retail, office industrial and investment sales).
In addition, the DA will be responsible for the development, creation, and production of assigned creative projects in support of regional marketing initiatives. Requires extensive knowledge of multi-faceted design concepts, mapping and media softwares. Creates original graphic design and comprehensive layout concepts in conjunction with firm brand, and coordinates production of materials such as brochures, collateral, direct mail, and advertisements, as well as corporate identity materials. It is also the responsibility of the Design Associate not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with clients but also to focus on productivity and results.
Must be flexible, creative, work well under pressure and tight schedules, be detail-oriented, have superior communication and organizational skills and be enthusiastic about becoming an expert on how to uniquely communicate the company's vision through visual communication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Completes goals and projects in accordance with stipulated deadlines and measurements
Assists Transwestern executives with other projects, when requested
Assists Transwestern’s Marketing and IT Departments with our “Transcend” initiative
Assists Transwestern’s Marketing Department with various projects as required
Make recommendations to streamline systems and improve processes
Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, GIS, Communication Arts, Computer Science and/or a related discipline
2+ years’ professional design and graphics experience (preferred Adobe products experience - PC based)
GIS & Demographic software application experience (Regis and Map Info) – preferred, but not required
Commercial Real Estate experience preferred
Strong production skills and knowledge of print processes required - experience using both traditional process and web based digital process providers
Maintain mapping & demographic equipment (hardware and software)
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of Regis, Map info and SitesUSA preferred, but not required
Strong organizational skills
Strong conceptual ability – creative vision with the ability to depersonalize own efforts in order to incorporate input from others to affect project completion
Creative flair with top-rate conceptual and visual skills; ability to take concepts and ideas and transform them into images
Expert command of challenging / changing environment
Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and multi-task
Exceptional communication skills via telephone, fax, email and in-person
