Accountable to manage, oversee and develop the Design Program Specialists positioned across North America. Work to ensure that the Benjamin Moore’s corporate Design strategy is met and successfully carried out by the Program Specialists; Responsible for assisting in goal setting and providing implementation strategies, guidance, direction and expertise to the Design Program Specialists with a keen focus on identifying opportunity areas to better meet the needs of the targeted constituency – Professional Designers.

Management and Leadership
  • Oversee the creation and North American implementation of a training plan for design professionals to educate on product knowledge, color leadership/innovation and brand/product value proposition
  • Ensure that the Benjamin Moore developed CEU strategy is effectively and consistently delivered and drives the core of objective of brand/product specification toward purchase
  • Drive the use of all available education tools and resources
  • Effectively lead the organization and tracking of design events across North America
Design Program Management
  • Work closely with the Area Sales Managers and Sales Team to define objectives and goals along with metrics and milestones
  • Work collaboratively with Market Sales Management to integrate the National Designer Engagement objectives with the regional sales activities
  • Maintain a Benjamin Moore leadership role in industry associations (IIDA, ASID and local organizations)
  • Manage the Design Program Specialists to achieve the established corporate objectives
  • Work in conjunction with the field personnel to establish and execute business relationships/alliances with key design influencers across North America

Required Skills College degree preferred

7+ years of experience working in/with the design community

Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM)

Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills

Strong management and leadership acumen

Experience in managing personnel – field management preferred

Effective decision making and problem solving skills

Effective time management skills

Ability to work evenings & weekends when necessary

Ability to travel frequently
