Our client a national Not-for-Profit has an immediate need for a Desktop Support Help Desk professional in their national headquarters. The candidate is responsible for providing consistently excellent IT service and support to users, including an executive population as well as onsite and remote users. A Can Do attitude, exceptional customer support skills are and the ability to exceed customers expectations are essential.
Day in the Life:
Help users to resolve desktop hardware and software issues, including set-up of user accounts and related administrative duties (e.g., installing, upgrading, and supporting Mac and Windows desktop software and hardware)
Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware related issues
Respond to requests in-person, by phone or email
Support Systems Administrator on day-to-day duties and routine maintenance
Provide remote computer and hardware setup and replacement
Perform remote configurations and equipment setup
Track, log and route problems/requests and document resolutions
Research questions using available information resources
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Maintain mobile devices including Windows Mobile, Blackberry and iPhone
Occasional travel to NYC office
What You Bring to the Team:
2-5 years Tech Support or Help Desk experience ( Nonprofit preferred)
Exchange 2010 - Add/Move/Change
Windows 7 desktop
Good understanding of hardware/software, server platforms, file servers, databases, network infrastructure and monitoring
Strong Microsoft Office 2010/ 2013 experience.
Experienced Active Directory user
Advanced PC and laptop hardware troubleshooting
Basic Email and Network troubleshooting
Support telephone equipment, wireless networks, e-mail clients, Windows client installed software.
Basic BlackBerry, Android, iPhone, iPad support
Quick learner, strong/effective problem solver, team player
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on rapport-building,listening and problem solving skills
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Experience with a ticketing system
