Primary duties include direct supervision of 3 Desktop Support Team Leads who each have 5 IT personnel assigned. Directly supervise Ticket, Move Add Change and Project team day to day activities. Responsible for support services Quality Assurance, overall customer service and Help Desk relations. Candidate must understand risk and change management techniques, and assist the Desktop Manager in the performance management process for staff assigned to projects. Under general direction from the Desktop Services Manager, manage multiple small to large scaled, complex and/or cross-functional project efforts simultaneously. Possess technical proficiency sufficient to effectively perform these activities. Participates in recruiting, ongoing training and development of daily, quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
Education: Associate degree in CIS or Business, or 5 years of Desktop/Server experience in a Health Care environment. Current MCP certification required.
Experience: Five (5) years in Healthcare Information Systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct Supervision of help desk or deskside technicians required. Strong leadership, customer service and technical skills a must. Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types. Understands pertinent accreditation guidelines, such as JCAHO, CMS and HIPPA. Strong understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities required.
Required License: MCP Certification required. MCSE certification desired.
