The Desktop Services Technician will provide desktop hardware and software support with associated server and network support as it is related to the desktops. Provide store server hardware and OS support when required. Provides guidance to the IT Resource Center on application changes, system changes, troubleshooting procedures and resolution procedures. Install, modify, and make repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems and provide technical assistance and training to system users as escalated from the IT Resource Center. Provide scheduled and on demand day to day media load and unloads for Data Center midrange system tape mounts.
Load, maintain and troubleshoot specified software, such as operating systems, desktop tools, enterprise applications onto desktop computers and verify correct system operation.
Install, maintain, repair and replace desktop computer equipment.
Perform minimal operational duties that include scheduled tape rotation, inventory and prepare tapes for offsite storage.
Identify, analyze and communicate recurring problems due to system changes, training and user errors. Review and enhance documentation for troubleshooting and resolution procedures for level 1 support.
Load, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and Operating System issues on Store Servers. Develop and manage images for Store Servers and desktop computers.
Coordinate activities with IT Resource Center, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering and Applications groups.
Provide status updates and completion information utilizing the request tracking system, email or in-person communication.
Participate in after-hours and off-hour coverage in rotation or as on-call reinforcements for critical events. Participate in monthly/period maintenance evening events.

High School diploma/GED; or one to three months related experience or combination of both. Some college preferred.
6-10 years experience in related field.
Knowledge of Microsoft TCP/IP based networks and suites.
Comp Tia Network + or equivalent certification.
