We are in need of a Desktop Support Specialist with spunk! This person enjoys helping employees stay productive by troubleshooting their technical issues, keeps the companies data and information safe from outside invasions and helps to onboard new employees all while juggling changing priorities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide user support for IT-related problems
  • Support onboarding of new employee’s technical needs. (hardware setup, software configuration, tracking)
  • Support our Nortel Phone system
  • Support client computer backups/restores
  • Organize and manage hardware repairs, warranty returns
  • Maintain system security, Kaspersky Endpoint Protection
  • Manage and install patches on desktop and servers (WSUS)
  • Evaluate processes and systems, make recommendation to improve, implement
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Conduct system upgrades
  • Manage projects and remediation efforts
  • User account maintenance
  • Support SharePoint Team site (O365)
  • Assist in preparation for Sarbanes Oxley style audit.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • BS in computer science, computer engineering or information systems or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year experience in an IT and/or desktop support position
  • Ability to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but can also take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations
  • Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends around maintenance windows
  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Experience in a small to mid-size corporate environment, where things move very quickly, strongly preferred
  • All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, their own vehicle
