Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 1-3 years related experience
Minimum 1-3 years of .NET experience
Familiarity with the required development language, frameworks and Integrated Development Environments
Understanding of Forms Development
Understanding of software development patterns
Understanding of service oriented architectures
Understanding of basic SDLC processes
InfoPath experience is a plus
Workflow experience is a plus
Sharepoint experience is a plus
Job Description: Overview:
The Developer I is responsible for creating business applications which effectively implement the requirements. They participate actively in the Software Development Life Cycle while ensuring that FNFG polices are followed. The Developer I may work under the guidance of a Senior Developer or Solution Architect.
Key Responsibilities:
During the Software Development Life Cycle the Developer I may perform the following functions:
Collaborate on the design software
Develop code with oversight
Perform unit testing
Collaborate on refining requirements
Manage source code
Collaborate on performance testing
Provide estimates and deliver within them
Maintain system and user documentation
The Developer I is familiar with the required programming languages, and may be called upon to assist with other activities such as: Technical support, identifying new opportunities and Solution architecture
The Developer I must follow relevant FNFG guidelines resulting in the following:
Ensure development best practices are followed
Ensure security guidelines are followed
Ensure branding guidelines are followed
Adherence to our Software Development Life-cycle
Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements.
