Job Summary About this Position: The purpose of the “ Developer ” position is to . . .
§ Assist with analysis and design of projects scope and support initiatives for collection systems
§ Develop and test solutions based on requirements using company coding and testing standards
§ Document code and projects to enable others to easily understand the programs
§ Coordinate solution deployment, working with others as required
§ Modify existing or third party software for internal use
§ Communicate clearly with the customer and internal teams as necessary
Position Outcomes & Activities: You will be measured on your ability to perform the following activities effectively
1. COLLECT: Work with users to obtain detailed requirements on requested changes.
2. FILTER: Appropriately “bundle” work, as necessary, to implement changes in the most effective manner.
3. PRIORITIZE: Ensure support/project prioritization process is adhered to.
4. PLAN: Engage in planning processes led by the PMO or App Owner. Provide effective estimates, manage workload, and keep leader aware of capacity to support new or existing work.

§ Perform assigned recurring tasks in a timely manner in order to maintain application's health.
§ Research and identify program and application problems, and suggest practical resolutions.

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS OR related field OR minimum of 2 years IT experience (Required)
§ Programming background and general skills required, specifically the ability to understand (Required) :
o Scripting languages, UNIX Shell scripting a plus.
o Database concepts (ex. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), Cache experience or exposure, a plus.
o At least one of the following languages: C, JAVA, SQL or any object-oriented language.
§ Ability to participate in an on-call development rotation 24x7x365 (Required)
§ Experience with SDLC and Application Development Methodologies (Required)
§ Excellent oral and written communication skills (Required)
§ Experience with Intersytems Cache, Artiva Architect and Artiva Studio (Preferred)
§ Experience developing scripts to enhance Artiva software components including Artiva scripts, database definitions, windows, workflows, interface formats and reports. (Preferred)
§ Experience working in application support and familiar with on-call rotations (Preferred)
§ Financial Services Industry experience (Preferred)
