The New Products, Media and Platforms (NPMP) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. NPMP helps take product innovations and turns them into client solutions that enable our customers to get the most out of their spend with Google. NPMP team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling front-line Sales partners to sell effectively and quickly. The role: HTML5 Developer, Zoo Mobile
This is your chance to work on the cutting edge of Google's mobile display business, as a part of a fast-growing dynamic entrepreneurial team pushing the boundaries of Mobile Rich Media advertising. As a solutions engineer, you will play two different roles within the Rich Media Mobile Services organization. You will consult with Creative Shops/Internal Creative Team and support their day to day campaign executions as well as be responsible for promoting mobile innovation within the Rich Media world.
You will work with creative designers, product/engineering and sales associates to conceptualize and execute both standard and custom HTML5 ad executions. You will support the creative team and advertisers on development strategy and enable them to incorporate advanced features into their mobile ads. You will consult with clients about technical HTML5 questions that pertain to AdMob rich media ad units and mobile landing pages. This includes getting involved in conference calls, building concept demos, documentation, and in-person visits to clients' offices. You will also train clients and internal teams on our platforms and custom solutions. The ideal candidate must be extremely comfortable working directly with clients, proactive, motivated, innovative, and works well within a fast paced cross-functional team.
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and consultative technical expertise to Internal creative teams, Creative Shops and Agency/Advertiser
Provide two-way communication and collaboration between external clients and the internal teams (Escalation Management, Product Management, Sales and Engineering) ensuring that customer-centric product development is effectively happening
Collaborate with and execute on innovative HTML5 Mobile Rich Media campaigns for our clients
Document knowledge and processes specific to our most complex and technical capabilities and issues.
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
Preferred qualifications:
2 years of experience working in a client-facing technical service environment preferably supporting mobile or web-based products.
Demonstrated mastery of JavaScript, CSS and HTML4 & 5 is required.
Considerable background in one object-oriented (e.g. Java, Objective C) language.
Ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
