The Prospect Park Alliance, working in partnership with City of New York and the community, restores, develops, and operates Prospect Park for the enjoyment of all by caring for the natural environment, preserving historic design, and serving the public through facilities and programs. Prospect Park is Brooklyn’s 585-acre historic flagship park, designed by the famed Olmsted and Vaux. It is the home of Brooklyn’s only lake and forest, with nature trails, numerous recreational activities, public education programs, volunteer opportunities, and the first urban Audubon Center.
The Prospect Park Alliance is currently seeking a Development Assistant to process all contributions to the Alliance, enter all gifts into the database, and assist the Individual Giving program in various aspects, including member services. The Development Assistant will also maintain relevant files along with other clerical and administrative duties as necessary.
Qualifications for the Development Assistant include accuracy, efficiency, organization, and attention to detail. Data entry experience, especially with nonprofits, experience with Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising database software, and familiarity with fundraising and basic accounting principles are preferred. Possession of a driver’s license valid in the state of New York State required, as is the ability to work occasional evening and weekend events.
This is a full-time position with a salary range in the high twenties.
