Neighborhood Trust seeks a Development Associate to play a vital role in our rapid growth as a nonprofit financial services innovator. The Development Associate will join our External Relations team and take the lead on institutional grants, with two main areas of responsibility: a) produce content for grant submissions and reports; and b) manage the grants pipeline to meet all deadlines. The Development Associate will also conduct prospect research.

The Development Associate will report to the Deputy Director of External Relations and play an integral part in raising philanthropic capital from private foundations, government entities and individuals. The ideal candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills, strong writing abilities, a can-do attitude, and a passion for Neighborhood Trust's mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Grant Writing & Reporting
  • Generate content for grant proposals and reports
  • Create new collateral and customize existing text for grant proposals
  • Liaise with other members of the team to gather and format relevant data
  • Grant Maintenance
  • Update development pipeline in Salesforce with relevant correspondence and deadlines
  • Meet deadlines. Manage all aspects of grant/report submission to submit final product on time
  • Prospect Research & Analysis (as needed)
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years related work experience
  • Outstanding written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising operations
  • Team player who can work autonomously and produce results in a group
  • Passion for Neighborhood Trust's work
