DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Proposal Development Coordinator
PROGRAM/UNIT: Administration

HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday, 9:00am- 5:30pm

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director of Research and Evaluation, the Grants Coordinator will work with BRC's senior management team to expand and diversify income from both private foundation and public sources. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Identifying new public funding opportunities and analyzing feasibility of application to BRC's existing and potential service delivery network
  • Reviewing potential government funding prospects and vetting for fit with agency strategies
  • Researching and prioritizing grant opportunities from foundations and corporations
  • Preparing and submitting all grant proposals
  • Preparing and submitting all reports to foundation and other funding sources
  • Developing and maintaining competency in BRC's mission, work, and needs through regular exposure to BRC activities, clients and staff.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in grant writing and reporting on behalf of nonprofit organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated research, writing and editing skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, summarize key findings and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and pacing
  • Interest in issues relating to homelessness, mental health and/or substance abuse
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in preparing reports, processing information, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Writing sample must be included with resume
