Reporting to the Director of Engineering Fund and Parents Fund at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), the Development Coordinator assumes all responsibilities for overall support of the Engineering Fund and Parents Fund team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: The Development Coordinator will act as the liaison for the Engineering Fund/Parents Fund unit with University's direct marketing team to implement the School's solicitation strategy across direct mail, student calling, email and video-documentaries, with important duties like, but not limited to: ?attending and actively participating in monthly planning/strategy meetings ?managing mailing calendars ?checking accuracy of data/preparing spreadsheets ?reporting and gift tracking ?database upkeep ?providing input on drafts of appeal letters, including proof-reading ?interviewing students as potential subjects for video-documentaries The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Director of the Engineering Fund and Parents Fund, the Development Coordinator Parents Fund and Leadership Giving Officer, Engineering Fund to prepare materials for both the Parents Council and Engineering Development Council meetings (and limited others throughout the year) including handling r.s.v.p.'s, providing guest lists, meeting materials, preparing biographies and other support for their bi-annual meetings, recording attendees in School's database. The Development Coordinator will also assist the overall Engineering Fund group's aim of increasing annual giving and participation by mailing gift acknowledgements/stewardship materials on a timely basis to a segment of the annual donor base. The Development Coordinator will prepare expense reports and provide travel support for the Director and other Engineering Fund/Parents Fund staff. The Assistant will prepare mailings to invite selected alumni/parents to attend special events and/or to join one of the School's Councils. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree required. Ability to interact effectively with skilled professionals in the engineering, financial, legal, academic, and corporate communities is essential. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and experience handling highly confidential information. Strong initiative, creativity, organizational ability, and attention to detail. Ability to analyze a problem and present a strategic solution. Basic quantitative analytical skills are preferred. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to work cooperatively with other staff. Understanding of the mission and purpose of institutions of higher education is strongly preferred. Ability to use current desktop office technologies proficiently, and ability to adapt to and use future technologies. High energy level, enthusiasm, flexibility absolutely required. Some weekend and evening work is required.
