Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Data modeling
  • Develop T-SQL, including queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
  • Query optimization and performance tuning
  • Deploy database changes with an eye toward minimizing disruptions
  • Mentor and cultivate database skills with developers
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
Requirements:
  • Experience with Database Administration with SQL Server (preferably 2012) and/or PostgreSQL
  • Excellent T-SQL development skills
  • Experience with Performance tuning
  • Experience with indexes
  • Data modeling
  • Ability to perform backups and restores
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus Skills:
  • Working knowledge of RedGate tools for SQL Server
  • Financial or accounting experience
  • Participation in the database community
