PURPOSE OF THE JOB:|
Under the direction of the Health Foundation Director, the Development Director plans, organizes and directs the development of gifts and special funds from philanthropic corporations, trusts and individuals. Develop and recommend goals and objectives for Hospital fund raising, implementing campaigns, techniques and department policies to achieve such goals. Perform other marketing functions to promote Baptist Health Care. In consultation with the Executive Director help develop a fund raising plan that meets the overall strategic and long-range plan of Baptist Health Care.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in job experience in related field
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, public relations and/or development required
Strong writing, interpersonal and organizational skills required
Personal computer skills including word processing, data base management (Raisers Edge) and spreadsheet proficiency required
