As part of the Development team, develop and implement effective strategies to attract and renew funding. Maintain and manage the relationship with current donors and design ways to attract additional contributions. Support director of development in major gifts and other activities. Coordinate prospect stewardship activities for entire Steinhardt development team, including acknowledgement letters, scholarship and stewardship activities. Craft communication on behalf of the Director of Development, Steinhardt and Dean, Steinhardt and others. Grow Scholarship Stewardship by creating and launching a process to receive, process, and acknowledge funds and share information.
Bachelor of Arts
3-4 years' experience in development, public relations, corporate marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with donor communications; experience interacting with high-level donors or clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent writing skills; strong interpersonal and oral communication skills; Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database softwares. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Knowledge of major gift identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship cycle; knowledge of university organizational structure, policies and procedures.
